Characteristics |
Sex: male strain: C57BL/6J tissue: liver treatment: CDAHFD genotype: Hepatocyte-specific PPARa KO
|
Treatment protocol |
7-week old male hepatocyte-specific PPARα KO and WT mice were fed either a chow diet (normal standard diet, containing 9% energy from fat, 58% from carbohydrates, and 33% from protein) or a CDAHFD (choline-deficient L-amino acid defined high-fat diet, A06071302, New Brunswick, NJ USA, containing 62% energy from fat, 20% from carbohydrates, and 18% from protein) for 6 weeks ad libitum
|
Extracted molecule |
genomic DNA |
Extraction protocol |
At 13 weeks, the mice were sacrificed by cervical dislocation after anaesthesia with ketamine and xylazine diluted in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) (2:2:6). Liver samples were immediately snap frozen and genomic DNA was extracted and purified from liver biopsies using Qiagen DNeasy Kit according to standard instructions
