The whole body, ovaries, and fat bodies were collected from blood-fed mosquitoes 24 h after completion of the meal. Total RNA was extracted from the whole body, ovaries, or fat bodies from mosquitoes. Trizol was added to the tissues and RNA was isolated using a RNeasy Mini Kit (QIAGEN) RNA libraries were prepared for sequencing using standard Illumina protocols

Data processing |
Partek Flow RNAseq data were trimmed and aligned to the Anopheles genome, with associated annotation file using STAR (v2.7.3a). The aligned reads were quantified to Ensembl transcripts using the Partek E/M algorithm and the subsequent steps were performed on gene-level annotation followed by total count normalization. The counts generated were processed by gene set analysis (GSA). Assembly: Anopheles gambiae PEST Supplementary files format and content: tab-delimited text files include baseMean for each gene
