Tumor tissue was microdissected to avoid contamination from nontumor tissue before extraction of intratumoral RNA with the use of an AllPrep DNA/RNA FFPE Kit (Qiagen). The extracted RNA was measured with a NanoDrop system (Thermo Fisher Scientific) and an Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer system (Agilent Technologies).
