The two-week old seedlings of grain (BTX623) and sweet (Keller) sorghum lines were subjected to 5% of sucrose solution, and samples were then collected in 0, 2, and 6 h intervals respectively.

Growth protocol |
Both grain and sweet sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench cultivars BT×623 and Keller were used for all experiments in this study. Their seeds were imbibed in water. After germination, they were planted in greenhouse and were grown under natural light and temperature conditions.
