A tumor of the central nervous system that has components of both neurocytic and glial areas, whereby usually the glial component of the tumor predominates. Rossette-forming glioneuronal tumors (RGNT) have biphasic cytoarchitecture with two elements; neurocytic rosettes resembling Homer-Wright rosettes, and astrocytic component resembling a pilocytic astrocytoma.
