Definition

Tropical calcific pancreatitis (TCP) is a type of chronic pancreatitis unique to tropical regions. Large intraductal calculi are present, and evidence of pancreatic calcification is seen on imaging studies (summary by Mahurkar et al., 2006). [from OMIM]
