Definition

Streptobacillary rat-bite fever (RBF) is a systemic zoonosis caused by the aerobic Gram-negative bacterium <i>Streptobacillus moniliformis</i> and is transmitted to humans through the bites and scratches of infected rats. [from ORDO]
