Summary:
Analysis of reward-related brain regions from Wistar males with restricted (1 h) or extended (6 h) daily access to cocaine. Escalated cocaine intake (ESC) developed in subjects with extended access. Results provide insight into molecular mechanisms underlying the transition to compulsive drug use.
