Red meat consumption effect on inflammatory bowel disease: colon
Summary:
Analysis of colon biopsies from inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) subjects. Colon biopsies also examined from 12 of these subjects (6 IBD, 6 IBS) after a 7-day diet high in red meat (300g/day). Results provide insight into molecular basis of IBD pathophysiology.
