A new C. parvum genome sequence assembly was generated using both high coverage short and long-read sequencing platforms, resulting in a nearly-complete genome sequence, that is free of gaps or ambiguous bases (“N's”). It consists of 8 chromosomes including 13/16 telomeres. A comparative manual curation of all genes in the context of existing molecular evidence and synteny was performed using a local installation of WebApollo2.
