show Abstracthide AbstractXylose and glucose are well known sugar sources for ethanol production because 2nd generation biomass contains these carbon sources. To accomplish more high ehtnol productivity, form Rao country, Candida tropicalis strains were isolated with these substrates. On of these strains, C. tropicalis X-17 is the highest ethanol producer among these isolates. Then, to enhance the glucose tolerance, C. tropicalis X-17 was adapted at the high-glucose condition and X-17.2b was obtained. The adapted strain showed more thermotolerance and produce higher ethanol from glucose than parental strain. Their genome sequences were used for finding the mutated genes in the adapted strain.
