show Abstracthide AbstractMature flies were fed a diet comprising hydrolyzed yeast protein and sucrose for optimal nutrition, with access to water ad libitum in disposable cotton-seep wool boxes . Flies were housed in laboratory experimental screen cages as reported before in Liu et al. Each treatment group of adult flies, except for the rearing group. Laboratory conditions were maintained at room temperature relative humidity, and a photoperiod. Air quality and humidity were regulated using a column-type air conditioner inverter and an electric floor-mounted water-added air purification humidifier.
