Study: Long-read 16S rRNA NGS for identification of bacterial isolates
show Abstracthide Abstract
153 bacterial isolates were identified by ~500 bp Sanger sequencing and by long-read 16S rRNA Nanopore sequencing (Oxford Nanopore technologies). Isolates with discordant results between the two methods or unable to be identified underwent WGS on the Illumina NextSeq instrument using the NextSeq 1000/2000 P2 Reagents (300 Cycles) v3 kit (Illumina) to identify definitive taxa.
