Abstract: The threespine stickleback (Gasterosteus aculeatus) has repeatedly colonized and adapted to diverse freshwater habitats since the last glaciation. To study sex-specific gene expression across different populations, we sequenced gonadal transcriptomes from wild-caught sticklebacks from three lakes and three rivers.
