Manufacture protocol Templates of a set of candidates isolated from a collection of 4 subtracted cDNA libraries were amplified by PCR. The amplicons (of 450 bp on average) were purified to remove excess primers and free nuleotides and the remaining DNA was used as the source of DNA to fabricate the microarray. DNA was diluted in DMSO to increase surface tension and deposition was performed using a Vertel arrayer (now VerArray from BioRad) using solid pins. Each spot was duplicated and duplicates were replicated (4 spots for each target DNA). Quality of printing was determined by terminal transferase (TdT) assay.
