Manufacture protocol Inserts from 4104 cDNAs were amplified by PCR, purified, resuspended in distilled water and spotted in duplicate on Gap II glass slides in 50% DMSO using a Virtek SDDC-2 ChipWriter at the National Research Council Biotechnology Research Institute. Two-fold dilutions of a plasmid encoding chlorophyll synthetase G4 from Arabidopsis thaliana were included at the bottom of each sub-array to serve as internal controls. The resulting array of 8,208 spots was printed twice on each slide, giving a total of 16,416 spots.
