Manufacture protocol The arrays were printed in the Stanford Functional Genomics Facility with custom built microarrayers. Oligonucleotides were printed with a 200μm pitch onto Corning UltraGAPS slides at a concentration of 50 μM in Pront! Universal Spotting Solution. 4 x 4 arrays were printed onto each slide utilizing Majer Precission (http://www.majerprecision.com/) MicroQuill 2000 pins. The oligonucleotide probe set was printed twice for each subarray and duplicates for each feature was spotted for a total of four subarrays per array.
Each feature was spotted eight times per slide as shown in the Supplementary file GPL3638_completeLayout.txt.

Description This set includes 576 oligonucleotides, 50 to 70-mers, consisting of 464 Arabidopsis pathogen-responsive and 107 Arabidopsis normalization genes and 5 arbitrary spiked-controls. Each feature contains 0.9mg/ml of oligonucleotide above and 0.25mg/ml of calibration oligonucleotide.
