Title Expression data fron HeLa cells
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Expression profiling by array
Summary The protein GIGYF2 is an RNA-binding protein that mediates repression of mRNA function when tethered to an artificial reporter mRNA. Cellular targets of GIGYF2 were not known at the time of this study.
We used microarrays to globally identify gene expression changes upon manipulating GIGYF2 expression levels.

Overall design HeLa cells were either transfected with a control plasmid or a plasmid coding for GIGYF2 under a CMV promoter, and then processed for RNA extraction and hybridization on Affymetrix microarrays. For each condition (WT or overexpression) three biological replicate samples were prepared. Microarray analysis was performed at the EMBL GeneCore facility (Heidelberg, Germany)
