Title |
Transcriptomic response to adult hypothalamic deletion of Snord116 |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
Snord116 deletion mouse models recapitulate aspects of the Prader-Willi Syndrome. In this study, we examine the gene expression changes in the mediobasal hypothalamus for mice which have an adult onset deletion of Snord116 in the mediobasal hypothalamus.

Overall design |
Snord116 floxed mice were stereotaxically injected in the mediobasal hypothalamus with adeno-associated viruses (AAVs) expressing Cre or GFP. RNA sequencing was performed on laser-captured hypothalamic regions where Cre was expressed as well as in matching regions from GFP injected controls. AAV-Cre treated animals were also classed based on their body weight phenotype as obese or non-obese.
