Title ZNF281 inhibits neuronal differentiation

Summary Derangement of cellular differentiation due to mutation or inappropriate expression of specific genes is a common feature in tumours. Here, we show that depletion of ZNF281 induces neuronal differentiation of neuroblastoma cells.
 
Overall design To investigate the effect of ZNF281 depletion on neuronal differentiation, we used microarray expression profiling to identify the genes with altered expression. Human neuroblastoma cells BE2(M17) were transiently knocked-down by RNA interference.
