Title Control of nitrogen remobilization and senescence in Arabidopsis thaliana by DNA methylation dynamics
Organism Arabidopsis thaliana
Experiment type Methylation profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary Senescence is altered in mutants that are defective in DNA methylation; in leaves the process of senescence is associated with very moderate initial decline in chromosomal methylation that reversed at later stages. Methylation changes were not specifically associated with senescence-associated genes and potential regulation of transcription factor binding is suggested.
