Title Transcriptomic analysis of hybrid embryos in polyploid wheat

Summary To investigate genome-wide maternal and paternal contributions to polyploid grain development, we produced and analyzed transcriptomes from zygote to mature stage embryos as well as two endosperm stages derived from reciprocal crosses between tetraploid and hexaploid wheats.
 
Overall design Total RNA were extracted from the embryo and endosperm from the F1 progeny of 4 combinations of reciprocal crosses in wheat species .
