Summary |
The objective of this study was to identify genes and pathways involved in submucosal invasion of early gastric cancer through comprehensive gene expression analysis.

Overall design |
8 cases with intramucosal gastric cancer (M cancer) and 8 cases with early gastric cancer with submucosal invasion ≥ 500 μm (SM cancer) were enrolled in this study. Biopsies were taken from both tumor site and background normal mucosa.
