Title |
A model for studying homeostatic plasticity in human stem cell derived neuronal networks |
Organisms |
Homo sapiens; Rattus norvegicus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
To investigate the functional and molecular effects of neuronal activity suppresion at the network level, we co-cultured human-derived iPSCs neurons with rat astrocytes and treated them with TTX.
|
|
|
Overall design |
Transcriptomic profilling of co-cultures of human-derived iPSCs neurons and rat astrocytes treated either with TTX or vehicle. Three biological replicates of vehicle-treated (Veh) and 48 h-TTX treated (TTX) co-cultures (6 samples in total). RNA-seq reads were mapped against the hybrid human and rat reference genome (GRCh38+ Rnor6.0), which allowed to discriminate between human neurons and rat astrocytes-derived transcripts.
