Treatment protocol |
low humidity treatment: The soil surface of single potted 6-7 week old Arabidopsis thaliana plants was covered with foil to prevent excessive water evaporiation. The plants were subjected to an air stream of 20 ± 5 % rh in a climate chamber at 22 ± 2 °C and 100 µmol m-2 sec-1 white light. Controls were kept at >80% rh. ABA-Spray treatment: Leaves were sprayed with 50 µM +/- abscisic acid solution, containing 25 µM biologically active ABA and 0.01% (v/v) Triton X-100.After 4 hours epidermal peels were harvested.

Growth protocol |
Arapidopsis thaliana plants were grown in soil and cultivated in a greenhouse under short-day conditions (8 h light/16 h darkness, 22°C/16°C) with illumination by 100 µmol m-2 sec-1 white light. Samples were collected after 4-5h of illumination.
