Sample GSM2086257 Query DataSets for GSM2086257
Status Public on May 12, 2017
Title bos_taurus_091125_lane_6
Sample type SRA

Source name placenta
Organism Bos taurus
Characteristics tissue: placenta
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol The villous portion of the tissue was homogenized in Trizol resulting in the isolation of total RNA following the manufacturer's instructions (Life Technologies, Grand Island, NY). The RNA was further purified using Qiagen’s RNeasy Midi Kit in conjunction with the RNase-Free DNase Set following the manufacturer’s protocol to remove any contaminating DNA from the sample (Valencia, CA)
RNA libraries were prepared for sequencing using standard Illumina protocols

Library strategy RNA-Seq
Library source transcriptomic
Library selection cDNA
Instrument model Illumina Genome Analyzer II

Data processing Reads failing QC were removed using fastQC, aligned using STAR, and quantified using Cufflinks against appropriate ENSEMBL reference genomes
Genome_build: ENSEMBL v80
Supplementary_files_format_and_content: gene FPKM values from cufflinks
