Growth protocol |
Seeds of each line were surface sterilized with 70% ethanol followed by 0.1 % HgCl2 with repeated rinses with Mili-Q water, and were allowed to imbibe in water for 16 h. The seedlings were grown for fourteen days on half-strength MS basal at 28±1oC.

Following fragmentation, 12.5 ug of aRNA were hybridized for 16 h at 450C on GeneChip Rice Genome Array. GeneChips were washed and stained in the Affymetrix Fluidics Station 450.

GeneChips were scanned using the Affymetrix Gene Chip Scanner 3300.

Data processing |
First-order analysis was performed using Affymetrix Gene Chip Operating (GCOS) software 1.2.1. Normalization of data and differential expression analysis was done using Expression Console 1.4.1.46 (Affymetrix).
