Organism |
Nicotiana benthamiana |
Characteristics |
infection: crTMV
|
Treatment protocol |
N. benthamiana was infected with Cymbidium ring spot virus (CymRSV), turnip crinkle virus (TCV), crucifer infecting tobacco mosaic virus (crTMV). Host plants were used for infections using a sap inoculation with in vitro transcripts of the viruses (crTMV) or with purified virions (CymRSV, TCV).
|
Growth protocol |
Plants were grown in soil under 16 h light /8 h dark regime at 21°C.
|
Extracted molecule |
total RNA |
Extraction protocol |
The total RNA from control leaves and virus infected, systemically symptomatic leaves was extracted with phenol-chloroform methods (White and Kaper 1989)
