Treatment protocol |
Spinal cord transection performed on anesthetized (0.033% aminobenzoic acid ethymethylester, MS222) between two vertebraa at a level halfway between dorsal fin and operculum, about 4 mm caudal to brainstem/spinal cord transitional zone. Wounds were sealed with Histacryl. Control treatment (sham injury) was performed by making the incision without spinal cord lesion.
