Data processing Sequenced reads were clipped to remove 3' adapter, collapsed to obtain multiplicity, then mapped to relevant genome with no mismatches. Annotations were made based on genomic co-ordinates after mapping. Mapping count refers to number of times a sequence is mapped to the genome.
