Growth protocol For each of two replicates, approximately 100 wild-type and him-17(me24) (m+z-) young adults grown on agar plates at 20ºC from the starved L1 stage were hand-picked.  him-17(me24) were derived from him-17(me24)/tmC12 [tmIs1194] mothers.
Extracted molecule polyA RNA
Extraction protocol Total RNA was extracted using TriPure (Roche) and further purified using an RNeasy column (Qiagen).
poly A was isolated using the NEBNext Poly(A) mRNA Isolation kit and libraries were prepared using the NEBNext Ultra Directional RNA Library Prep Kit (E7760S).
