Growth protocol |
Plasmodium falciparum parasites were cultured at 37 C under standard conditions in the presence of 5% CO2 and 6% O2 in RPMI 1640 media. The media was supplemented with HEPES, NaHCO3, hypoxanthine, 2.5% (w/v) Albumax II, and gentamycin (50 ug/ml).
