Extraction protocol Small RNAs were size-selected (Ambion - miRvana). We then captured the 3' end (IDT-Linker-1 or IDT-Linker-2). These 3'-captured small RNAs were then further size selected and treated first with antarctic phosphatase and T4 polynucleotide kinase. Subsequently, these treated RNAs were ligated to a barcoded 5' adapter, reverse transcribed, amplified and sequenced.
