Hybridization protocol |
Labelled cRNAs were hybridized to arrays and these were washed and scanned as described in Agilent’s Quick Amp Labeling Protocol (Version 6.5).

Microarrays were scanned with an Agilent G2505C US10020348 scanner, and fluorescent intensities of individual spots were obtained using the Agilent Feature Extraction software with default Agilent parameters.

Data processing |
Data normalization, filtering, dye flipping and statistical analysis were performed using the GeneSpring GX suit. For statistical analysis, a t-test against zero using the Benjamini-Hochberg false discovery rate (FDR) method for multiple testing corrections was used to detect significantly differentially expressed genes. Genes meeting a p value cut-off of 0.01 and showing a transcription ratio > 2 fold in either direction were considered to be differentially transcribed between the two strains.
