Treatment protocol Liver tissue was freeze-clamped in liquid nitrogen at the time of partial hepatectomy (PHx) and 1 h, 6 h, 12 h, and 24 h after PHx. Tissue was then stored at -80 degrees C.
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol Trizol extraction of total RNA was performed according to the manufacturer's instructions. RNA was purified using RNeasy mini kit (Qiagen) following the manufacturer’s instructions and checked for a RIN number to inspect RNA integration by an Agilent Bioanalyzer 2100
Label Biotin
Label protocol Biotinylated cRNA was prepared according to the standard Affymetrix protocol from 2 ug total RNA.
 
Hybridization protocol Following fragmentation, 10 ug of cRNA were hybridized for 16 hr on Rat Gene 1.0 ST Array. GeneChips were washed and stained in the Affymetrix Fluidics Station 450.
Scan protocol Chips were scanned using Affymetrix GeneChip Scanner 3000.
