Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) is a rodent-borne potentially severe hemorrhagic disease caused by Old World Hantaviruses characterized by high fever, malaise, headache, myalgia, arthralgia, backache, abdominal pain, oliguria/renal failure and systemic hemorrhagic manifestations. [from SNOMEDCT_US]
