Definition

Pelvic girdle pain is experienced between the posterior iliac crest and the gluteal fold, in particular in the sacroiliac joint. The pain may radiate to the posterior thigh. The condition is generally related to pregnancy, trauma, arthritis and osteoarthritis. [from SNOMEDCT_US]
