Comparative analysis of gene expression in Fra-1+/+ and Fra-1-/- mice lung

(Submitter supplied) We hypothesized that gene expression in lungs of Fra-1+/+ and Fra-1-/- mice are divergent thus contributing fibrosis. More specifically, Fra-1-/- mice are increased susceptible to fibrosis. In order to test these hypotheses at the gene expression level, we utilized microarray analysis to examine transcriptional differences between Fra-1+/+ and Fra-1-/- mice at early time point.

Fra-1 deficient lung response to fibrotic agent bleomycin

Analysis of lungs from Fra-1 deficient mutants 5 days following intratracheal administration of bleomycin to induce lung fibrosis. Fra-1 is a b-ZIP transcription factor. Results provide insight into the molecular mechanisms by which Fra-1 protects against bleomycin-induced lung injury.
