Influence of TGFbeta on human resting CD4+ T cells

(Submitter supplied) Based on studies in knockout mice, several inhibitory factors such as TGF-beta, IL-10, or CTLA-4 have been implicated as gate keepers of adaptive immune responses. Lack of these inhibitory molecules leads to massive inflammatory responses mainly mediated by activated T cells. In humans, the integration of these inhibitory signals for keeping T cells at a resting state is less well understood. To elucidate this regulatory network we assessed early genome-wide transcriptional changes during serum deprivation in human mature CD4+ T cells. more...

Gene expression of human T cells stimulated in the presence of TGF-β

(Submitter supplied) Transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) is a pleiotropic cytokine that dictates T-cell fates in various settings. Despite a wealth of data implicating TGF-β in the differentiation and homeostasis of both suppressive and inflammatory T cells, little is known about the role of TGF-β signaling in the development of memory T cells. This experiment was to correlate gene expression with the finding that TGF-β exposure during human T-cell stimulation ex vivo leads to the accumulation of T cells with central memory (tcm) markers.

In vivo gene expression data from wild type and CTLA-4 KO 5C.C7 T cells

(Submitter supplied) CTLA-4 is thought to inhibit effector T cells both intrinsically, by competing with CD28 for B7 ligands, and extrinsically, through the action of regulatory T cells. We studied in vivo responses of normal and CTLA-4-deficient antigen-specific murine effector CD4+ T cells. In order to do these studies in a physiological model of immunity to foreign antigen, we transferred small numbers of congenically marked RAG2-deficient 5C.C7 T cells with either a normal or knockout allele of CTLA-4 into normal syngeneic B10.A recipient mice. more...

Gene expression profiling in murine Smad-deficient CD4+ T cells stimulated with TGF-b

(Submitter supplied) TGF-b is an important pleiotropic cytokine with potent immunoregulatory properties. Although many previous reports have been proposed for the immunoregulatory functions of TGF-b on T cells, such as the suppression of cell proliferation, cytokine production and cytokine signaling, as well as the induction of apoptosis, it is not well elucidated whether the each effect of TGF-b on T cells is dependent on Smad signaling or Smad-independent other signaling pathways. more...

Gene expression profile of PBMCs in response to metreleptin treatment at different time points.

(Submitter supplied) we evaluated the modulation of gene expression profile in PBMCs from patients with hypotalamic amenorrhea. We have employed whole genome microarray expression profiling as a discovery platform to identify genes differentially expressed upon metreleptin treatment at different time points, week 12, 24 and 36.

Expression data from WT and BFAR-deficient naïve CD4+ T cells stimulated in Th9 differentiation condition for 3 days

(Submitter supplied) We conducted gene expression profile analysis by using WT and BFAR-deficient naive CD4+ T cells.Gene ontology (GO) analysis revealed the most prominent biological processes altered in naive CD4+ T cells cultured in Th9 condition were associated with immune system process.
