Mucosal gene expression profiling in patients with inflammatory bowel disease

(Submitter supplied) Microarrays were used to analyze the gene expression in endoscopic-derived intestinal mucosal biopsies from patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and controls

The comparsion of gene expression in ALVAC- and Ad5-infected human monocyte-derived dendritic cells

(Submitter supplied) Analysis of the effects of different vaccine viral vectors on gene expression in human monocyte-derived dendritic cells (MDDCs), which were generated from isolated monocytes from 3 different donors. The goal in this study was to find the difference of gene expression in human MDDCs upon ALVAC and Ad5 vrial vectors infection.

Affymetrix SNP array data for oral squamous cell carcinoma samples

(Submitter supplied) The development of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is a multistep process requiring the accumulation of genetic alterations. To identify genes responsible for OSCC development, we performed high-density single-nucleotide polymorphism array analysis and genome-wide gene expression profiling on OSCC tumors. These analyses identified "absent in melanoma (AIM2)" and "interferon-inducible gene 16 (IFI16)," mapped to the hematopoietic IFN-inducible nuclear proteins with 200-amino acid repeat (HIN-200) gene cluster in the amplified region of chromosome 1q23, with overexpression in OSCCs. more...

Inflammatory Memory in Epidermal Stem Cells Accelerates Tissue Damage Responses

(Submitter supplied) The body’s first line of defense against environmental assaults, the skin’s barrier, is maintained by epidermal stem cells (EpdSCs). Despite EpdSC’s vulnerability to inflammatory pressures, neither their primary response nor its enduring consequences are understood. Here, we unearth a prolonged memory to acute inflammation that enables EpdSCs to hasten barrier restoration following subsequent tissue damage. more...

PBMC gene expression from Crohn's disease patients before Infliximab therapy.

(Submitter supplied) About 40% IBD patients treated with anti-TNF antibodies do not respond to therapy. Baseline biomarkers of response are therefore of interest. By combining computational deconvolution of gene expression and meta-analysis approaches we identified cellular biomarkers in tissue (validated in 2 cohorts by IHC of biopsies), and investigated associated gene biomarkers in blood. This dataset provides data from the validation cohort III (blood).
