Epigenome analysis of liver samples from C57BL/6J, CD1, and Sv129Ev mice in lifelong chronic psychosocial stress (LCPS)

(Submitter supplied) Genome wide DNA methylation profiling of liver tissues from 17 months old male mice belonging to either the C57BL/6J, the CD1 or the Sv129Ev strain and exposed to LCPS. The Illumina Infinium Mouse Methylation Beadchip was used to obtain DNA methylation profiles across approximately 285,000 CpGs in liver samples. Samples included 19 C57Bl/6J mice, 12 CD1 mice, and 16 Sv129Ev mice.

RNA sequencing of mouse hepatic response to compounds with predicted lifespan-extending effect

(Submitter supplied) This dataset consists of hepatic gene expression profiles of mice subjected to 4 compounds predicted by Connectivity Map (CMap) using gene signatures identified for known lifespan-extending interventions: ascorbyl-palmitate, KU-0063794, AZD8055 and rilmenidine. Corresponding age-, sex- and strain-matched littermate controls are also presented. Using this data, we confirmed the association between longevity signatures and gene expression response to the predicted compounds in vivo, using the same mouse model as for the identification of gene signatures associated with lifespan extension. more...

RNA sequencing of mouse hepatic response to lifespan-extending interventions

(Submitter supplied) This dataset consists of hepatic gene expression profiles of mice subjected to 8 different lifespan-extending interventions, together with the corresponding age-, sex- and strain-matched littermate controls: caloric restriction (CR), methionine restriction (MR), growth hormone receptor knockout (GHRKO), Snell dwarf mice (Pit1 -/-), rapamycin, acarbose, 17-alpha-estradiol (17aE2) and Protandim. Both sexes and different age groups are presented within dataset. more...

Gene expression analysis of mouse brain regions after chronic social defeat stress (CSDS)

(Submitter supplied) Chronic psychosocial stress is a risk factor for psychiatric disorders, and genetic factors interact in conferring susceptibility. The chronic social defeat stress (CSDS) mouse model allows identifying factors underlying resilience and susceptibility to chronic psychosocial stress. We used RNA-sequencing to identify genes and pathways affected by CSDS in three brain regions: medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC), ventral hippocampus (vHPC), and bed nucleus of the stria terminalis (BNST), of male mice from strains C57BL/6Crl and DBA/2Crl.

DNA Methylation of African Americans from the Grady Trauma Project

(Submitter supplied) Childhood and cumulative exposure to trauma increases an individual's lifetime risk for psychiatric and stress-related disorders. This study evaluates DNA methylation in whole blood from African American participants, with the goal of identifying associaitons between peripheral DNA methylation and psychiatric symptoms.
