Wax inducer 1 transcription factor overexpression

Analysis of leaves strongly and moderately overexpressing wax inducer 1 (WIN1), an ethylene response factor-like transcription factor. WIN1 activates several wax biosynthesis pathway genes leading to epidermal wax accumulation.
Organism:
Arabidopsis thaliana
Type:
Expression profiling by array, count, 3 genotype/variation sets
Platform:
GPL71
Series:
GSE1071
3 Samples
Download data: CEL, DAT, EXP

Expression profiling of plants overexpressing transcription factor WIN1

(Submitter supplied) T2 progenies of two transgenic lines overexpressing ERF transcription factor WIN1 were grown on soil in parallel under identical conditions. mRNA was extracted from pooled leaves from multiple plants of each line for the microarray experiement. Plants derived from two lines were used in this experiment: line 13, a "medium" overexpressor, and line 22, a strong overexpressor. Control mRNA was obtained from pooled control plants transformed using an empty binary vector. more...

Transcriptomes of 35S:MYB106VP16 and wild-type Arabidopsis seedling

(Submitter supplied) Antirrhinum R2R3 MYB transcription factor MIXTA is known to regulate epidermal cell outgrowth in petal. Arabidopsis has three MIXTA-like proteins NOECK(NOK)/MYB106, MYB16 and MYB17 and nok mutant exhibits over-branched trichomes in rosette leaves. On the other hand, Arabidopsis AP2/ERF transcription factor WAX INDUCER1/SHINE1 is well known to induce cuticle development. Here, we report the transcriptional cascade of MYBs-WIN/SHNs coordinately regulates the epidermal cuticle development. more...

Expression data from wild-type and AtERF73/HRE1 knock-down line under hypoxia in Arabidopsis seedlings

(Submitter supplied) To mimic natural flooding conditions, we have adopted an “open system” treatment, in which only roots are subjected to hypoxia treatment. Using microarray analysis, we identified a number of AP2/ERF genes in Arabidopsis that are induced at different stages of hypoxia treatment. we performed microarray analysis to compare gene expression profiles of wild-type and AtERF73/HRE1-RNAi20 upon normaxic or hypoxic condition, in which AtERF73/HRE1 expression was severely knocked down.

The ETHYLENE RESPONSE FACTOR 6 Acts as a Central Regulator of Leaf Growth under Water-Limiting Conditions in Arabidopsis thaliana

(Submitter supplied) Leaf growth is a complex developmental process that is continuously fine-tuned by the environment. Various abiotic stresses, including mild drought stress, have been shown to inhibit leaf growth in Arabidopsis thaliana (Arabidopsis), but the underlying mechanisms remain largely unknown. Here we identify the redundant Arabidopsis transcription factors ETHYLENE RESPONSE FACTOR 5 (ERF5) and ERF6 as master regulators which adapt leaf growth to environmental changes. more...
