(Submitter supplied) Summary: The liver is the major site of gluconeogenesis, fat processing and distribution, as well as drug and xenobiotic metabolism. Altered gene expression in the liver is centrally invovled in both the immuosuppressive and the energetic actions of corticosteroids.
