RNA-seq analysis of different reproductive tissues in the olive fruit fly

(Submitter supplied) we used an integrated approach for the elucidation of the reproductive system and mating procedures of the olive fruit fly, Bactrocera oleae. Initially, we performed RNAseq analysis in reproductive tissues of virgin and mated insects. Comparison of the transcriptomes resulted in the identification of genes that are differentially expressed after mating.

Molecular characterization of pyrethroid resistance in the olive fruit fly Bactrocera oleae

(Submitter supplied) Α reduction of pyrethroid efficacy has been recently recorded in the olive fruit fly Bactrocera oleae, the most destructive insect pest of olives worldwide. We analyzed the transcriptomic differences between two highly pyrethroid resistant populations versus a relatively susceptible field population and two laboratory strains to gain more insight into the molecular mechanism of resistance.
