Title Transcriptomic reprograming during the involution of brown adipose tissue in rabbits
Organism Oryctolagus cuniculus
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary Brown adipose tissue (BAT) in rabbits undergoes rapid involution, i.e. transforming to white adipose tissue (WAT), similarly to what happens in humans. We aim to profile the transcriptomic changes of total BAT and the stromal vascular fraction (SVF) that contains adipocyte progenitors at the global and single-cell levels.

Overall design Bulk- and single cell-RNA sequencing of total and/or the SVF of the interscapular and/or subscapular BAT depots from rabbits at ages of 1 day, 3 weeks, 6 weeks, and 12 weeks.
