Title Transcriptomic changes in the medial prefrontal cortex of juvenile rat offspring after induced birth with oxytocin

Summary We report changes in the medial prefrontal cortical transcriptome of male and female rat offspring after induced birth with oxytocin using RNA-seq analysis.
 
Overall design We performed RNA-seq analysis to examine differential gene expression in the mPFC of P45 male and female rat offspring after elective birth induction with oxytocin or saline (n=6 animals/sex/treatment). With an FDR adjusted p ≤ 0.05 and linear FC ≥ 2, we identified a small number of mostly non-overlapping genes that were significantly differently expressed in male and female oxytocin-exposed offspring.
