| Treatment protocol |
Control group (C): No treatment control, fed with the same environment, keeping up with the end of the experiment. AFB1 group (A): diet with 1mg/kg AFB1. AFB1+curcumin group (T): diet with 1mg/kg AFB1 and 300mg/kg curcumin. Chickens were continuously fed 28 days.

32 (1 day old) commercial Arbor Acres broilers were bought from Yi Nong Commercial hatchery (Harbin, Heilongjiang, China) and were assigned randomly to three groups namely control group, AFB1 group, AFB1+curcumin group.Broilers were provided fresh, clean water, free diet and 12 hours dark/light cycle。On day 28, broilers were euthanized by heart puncture and liver samples were collected.

Livers were removed, flash frozen on dry ice, and RNA was harvested using Total RNA Extractor (Trizol).
RNA libraries were prepared for sequencing using standard Illumina protocols and was validated on the Illumina HiSeq™ 2000.

Illumina Casava software used for basecalling.
The sequencing data obtained from Illumina Hiseq™ was filtered to get clean reads using Trimmomatic.
Index of the reference genome was built using bowtie2 v2.3.2 and paired-end clean reads were aligned to the reference sequence (Gallus_gallus-5.0, NCBI) using HISAT2 v2.1.0.
FPKM was calculated with StringTie v1.3.3b.
