Structural Basis for Bacterial Ribosome-Associated Quality Control by RqcH and RqcP

(Submitter supplied) In all branches of life, stalled translation intermediates are recognized and processed by ribosome-associated quality control (RQC) pathways. RQC begins with the splitting of stalled ribosomes, leaving an unfinished polypeptide still attached to the large subunit. Ancient and conserved NEMF family RQC proteins target these incomplete proteins for degradation by the addition of C-terminal "tails." Microarrays of Bacillus encoded tRNAs

(Submitter supplied) 1. Oligos were arrayed in 384 well plates with a final concentration of 10 µM in 3× SSC/0.01% SDS in a total volume of 25 µl. 2. Arrays were printed onto (3-Glycidyloxypropyl)trimethoxysilane (Sigma) activated glas slides using a contact-spotter (QArray 2, Moleculare Devices). 3.
