Piwi suppresses transcription of Brahma-dependent transposons via Maelstrom in ovarian somatic cells

(Submitter supplied) Drosophila Piwi associates with PIWI-interacting RNAs (piRNAs) and represses transposons transcriptionally through heterochromatinization; however, this process is poorly understood.
