Gene expression in the developing aleurone and starchy endosperm of wheat

(Submitter supplied) This reports the transcript profiling of the aleurone and starchy endosperm layers of wheat seed over 3 time points critical in the development of the aleurone layer. Wheat is a critical food source globally. The aleurone layer develops from the starchy endosperm and is a concentrated source of vitamins and minerals, essential for the germination of the plant embryo. However the molecular mechanisms behind the development of this layer remain poorly understood. more...

Wheat expression level polymorphism study 36 genotypes 2 biological reps from SB location

(Submitter supplied) The use of statistical tools established for the genetic analysis of quantitative traits can be applied to gene expression data. Quantitative trait loci (QTL) analysis can associate expression of genes or groups of genes with particular genomic regions and thereby identify regions that play a role in the regulation of gene expression. A segregating population of 41 doubled haploid (DH) lines from the hard red spring wheat cross RL4452 x AC Domain was used. more...

Transcriptome analyses of different region tissue of wheat grain endosperm

(Submitter supplied) The different parts of wheat grain endosperm at 25 days after anthesis were collected. Transcriptome analysis were conducted to investigate the differentially expressed transcript between inner and puter parts of endosperm. The study provide some useful information for understanding the protein gradient distribution in endosperm.

RNA sequencing of tomato seed tissues matured in different environments

(Submitter supplied) During maturation seeds acquire several physiological traits to enable them to survive drying and disseminate the species. The maternal environment during maturation can influence seed quality. RNA-seq analyses of the embryo and the endosperm of seed matured ex planta under standard or stressful condition (high temperature and/or dim light) will underly how light and temperature and a combination of both have an impact on the molecular mechanisms governing seed quality at harvest.
